Along the Swedish coast, surrounded by our pristine nordic oceans and secluded islands we are growing sugar kelp beneath the surface
- Let's dive in!
WHY SUGAR KELP?
A sustainable solutions; Underwater seaweed farms will boost the health of the oceans by safely locking away vast amount of CO2, sustain a healthy marine ecosystem and enhance ocean biodiversity. It grows faster than most land based plants and it can all be done without the use of land, freshwater, pesticides and fertilizers
CROP OF THE FUTURE
Seaweed can be used for numerous applications including food for humans, animal feed, cosmetics, fertilizer, bio-plastic etc. We supply seaweed to the food industry and other markets (b2b).

FROM SEEDS TO SEAWEED
Fertile sugar kelp (saccharina latissima) is first collected for the spores. In a lab, these small microscopic gametophytes will then grow into tiny baby kelp which will be outplanted on the farm site out in the ocean. Here they will spend the winter months growing to about 2 meters and will be ready for harvest in spring.
